Delhi Development Authority will be launching the “DDA Housing Scheme, 2010” from 25th November to 24th December, 2010.
Approximately 16,000 flats will be offered under the scheme.

The flats are located all over Delhi in colonies like Vasant Kunj, Mukherjee Nagar, Motia Khan, Jasola, Dwarka, Rohini, Narela, Jaffarabad, Kaundli Gharoli etc.

In order to reach all sections of the society there is a mix of one bed, two bed, three bed room houses expandable and Janta one room tenements/ houses. This is for the first time that one room tenements located in Narela, Trilokpuri and Shivaji Enclave have also been included in the scheme.

As per the scheme , any citizen of India who has attained the age of 18 years can apply for the flat .

There is no income criteria. Aspirants can apply only if they have a Pan Card and a bank account. The allotment money should be paid from the bank account of the allottee and a certificate to this effect will have to be submitted at the time of possession, the release said.

In this scheme both husband and wife can apply but only one will be allotted flat in case both are found successful.

One person can submit only one application form. There is no income criteria. The applicant can apply only if he has a valid Pan Card and a bank account.

Officials said the cheapest flats are available at Rs 1,536 per sq ft, the more expensive ones are priced at Rs 6,069 per sq ft.
For the one room tenements a deposit of Rs 50,000 is required.

The draw for the flats would be held by the end of April 2011.

Out of the total number of flats, 17.5 per cent have been reserved for scheduled castes, 7.5 per cent for scheduled tribes and 1 per cent each for applicants who are war widows, physically handicapped or ex- servicemen.
